Parenting group- Care for the Family

Raising children can be a physical and emotional rollercoaster! And that is WHY mums and dads need all the support they can get. One thing we as parents can relate to is that we all sometimes feel out of control and the need to refocus.

We as parents of De Blijberg are a group that share similar feelings and challenges.  We all strive to “be the best parents that we can be”, but are sometimes just losing track of our children and responsibilities.  It is a stressful and time consuming role that is 24/7-365 days of the year. By reaching out to other parents, you realise that you are not the awful parent you think you are; and by sharing you can find guidance and support.

Care for the Family is an International UK based Charity that has created resources that are used all over the world. You can visit the website at As a parent of De Blijberg myself, I am also a Facilitator and volunteer of Care for the Family. Starting this September, I will be running an exciting parenting group called ParentTalk - The Primary Years. It is a 6-week course of 2 hour-sessions.  It is advised to attend all sessions, although we do understand that it is not always possible. The topics include the love languages, communication and parenting styles, boundaries and battles, values, traditions, creating love and a sense of belonging.

The first course will start the week of the 11-15th of September. In order to accommodate your availability and arrange a suitable time, I invite you to contact me at Because the school has various activities, we are looking at an afternoon 13:00-15:00.

We are excited to meet you, and share our journeys as parents together!

Hope to hear from you
