Charity Day

Charity day is a very special day in our school. We hope to raise a lot of money to support the chosen charity. The charity we are supporting this year is the Ronald McDonald Huis Sophia Rotterdam. Children from group 7 and 8 chose this charity to support this year.

The Ronald McDonald House in Rotterdam is a place for families to stay if their child requires treatment in the Erasmus MC- Sophia. This accommodation is not subsidised by the government and depends on the generosity of individuals, sponsorship and volunteers.

We will kick start our charity event this year on Wednesday 16th May with our ‘Fit for Fun’ walk. The children from all groups will be walking as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes around a course taking in all three playgrounds. We would like all children to donate €1,- on that day to start off our appeal fund.

After that, we will be starting a ‘Mini Apprentice”project; Each class will receive  €5,- from the school with the aim of making a profit in a way that they have planned together. The profit they make will go to the charity. A good learning experience and making some money at the same time!

On Charity Day, parents are welcome to come to school at 10:30 and stay with their child/ren and take part in the fun activities which we have planned until 12:30.
